Build a Rental Hotline with Twilio – Overview

In this video we used Twilio to build a rental hotline. A rental hotline is a phone number that someone calls when they see a real estate sign in the front yard of a house. Typically, for us, it’s a rental property. So how does it work? Someone drives by your rental property and they see your sign with the amazing rental hotline phone number on it

From there, they dial the phone number thinking it’s going to be an office of a secretary or who knows what. What they get is an AI voice, or even your voice, telling them the rental price per month, when it’s available, and how to schedule a tour.

We take this a step further and add the property description as well as our website and how to get further information about applying, scheduling a tour, or getting their questions answered.

After all the information has been given, you can then text the person if they want it. Or just simply hang up. It all happens in the background for pennies and is relatively cheap for us to run during the rental season… typically under three dollars.

Rentak Hotline Course

Quite a while back I made a course on how to produce a rental hotline for your rental property, but Twilio has since updated their software and I’ll need to redo it. If you’re interested in a course that dives deep into the weeds of how to properly set this up with pros, cons, and best practices, please do let us know by contacting us.
